Announcing the 2nd Annual JJ Redick Fdn Celebrity Golf Tourney

The JJ Redick Foundation is proud to announce the second annual Celebrity Golf Tournament to be held at Ballyhack Golf Course in Roanoke, Virginia, on Saturday, August 18, 2012. The first annual event, also held at Ballyhack, raised over $110,000 benefiting CHIP of Roanoke Valley and Children’s Miracles Network Hospitals.

JJ Redick has a strong passion for children and serving his community and hometown. Serving through various outlets in both his current city, Orlando, Florida, and his hometown, Roanoke, Virginia, JJ recognizes the need to give back to his community. “Chelsea and I are very excited to announce the 2nd Annual JJ Redick Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament. Last year’s event was not only fun, but also a great success. We are grateful for the time and resources given by all of our volunteers and participants and we are on track to make 2012’s tournament even better! We look forward to seeing you the weekend of August 18th at Ballyhack Golf Club in Roanoke, Virginia.”

“The inaugural JJ Redick Celebrity Golf Tournament resulted in a gift of $40,000 to CHIP and introduced us to the next generation of philanthropists. I am a young 60 year old and I was overwhelmed with all of the under thirty-five who participated in the event. Thanks to you JJ for assuring us that the future for benevolent giving is secure” Bill Lee, CHIP Board Member.

“Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is proud to have JJ Redick to serve as an advocate and a generous public figure willing to support the health, wellness, and welfare of children in our community. We are looking forward to another event that will bring much needed funding for two great organizations” Erin Hildreth, Director, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Southwest Virginia.

About The JJ Redick Foundation: The foundation’s purpose is aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged youth through partnerships with local charities in JJ’s “hometowns” in Virginia and Central Florida.

About CHIP of Roanoke Valley: CHIP of Roanoke Valley is an early childhood home visiting program pairing low-income children, ages birth to kindergarten-entry, with a Community Health Nurse and Family Case Manager for health care coordination, developmental education, kindergarten preparation and regular child assessment and monitoring.

About Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals: Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. When a donation is given it stays in the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local kids.
